Vantage charts have the ability to re-run queries using two different methods, broadcasts and drillthoughs. Broadcasts allow the user to dynamically update objects within the Cognos report. For example: A user can click on a pie slice and trigger a list to be updated, filtered by the contents of that pie slice. Drillthoughs work in a similar manner but run a new report with the pie slice information being passed in as a paramter.
